Salor ma-chu trey. ( Sweet, sour soup inside fish).



      Aroma sweet, sour  AND ALSO  spicy soup  with  fish  is  delicious authentic Khmer Krom country food.
Ingredients :

    1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
     2  Cloves garlic, chopped
    ¼ Cup minced lemon grass
     half a dozen  Cups water
    1  whole  basa, catfish  or   any  white meat fish approx  2  lbs, cleaned  AND  cut chunks,  or perhaps  1 lb fish fillet, cut chunks
    ½ Fresh pineapple, diced,  or perhaps  1 large canned chunk pineapple
    ½ lb Fresh okra  or   6  oz frozen  whole  okra
    1 Stalk celery, chopped
     2  Stalks Asian rhubarb (taro stalk), sliced
    1½ Tablespoons Knorr tamarind powder
     a couple of  Tablespoons sugar
     a couple of  Tablespoons fish sauce
    ¼ Teaspoon salt
     2  Tomatoes, sliced chunks
    ¼ lb Bean sprouts
    1 Cup chopped mix herbs; rice paddy herb, sweet basil  AND ALSO  saw leaf herb
    1 Stalk green onion, chopped
     3  Chopped hot chili pepper,  or perhaps   in order to   the  taste(option)

Procedures :
Heat up  a great  large soup pot.
When soup pot  can be  hot,  fill in  oil  AS WELL AS  saute' garlic till  The item  brown, removed toasted garlic  AND  set  It   a great  side.  add  lemon grass, stirs,  complete  water, cook till water bubbling.
Add fish, pineapple(included pineapple juice  regardless of whether   utilizing  canned)  for you to  boiling water, cook till fish tender.
Add okra, celery  AND ALSO  Asian rhubard, stirs well.
Seasoning  in  tamarind powder, sugar, fish sauce,  AND ALSO  salt.
Add tomatoes  AND ALSO  bean sprouts, stirs well.
Top  throughout  mix herbs, green onion, hot chili pepper  AS WELL AS  toasted garlic  sooner  serve.
Serve hot  within  rice.
Note:  pertaining to  sourer soup  fill in   added  tamarind powder,  fill   extra  sugar  for  sweeter soup.
